Beauvais airport departures/ Check in are offered at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You will check in your baggage at Terminal 1 where you will also be issued with a boarding card. From here, proceed on to Terminal 2 where you will need to clear for security. Terminal 1 looks like just some ‘rickety metal shack’ and to mostly accommodate domestic travelers. After security check at Terminal 2, you will now be directed to the boarding area and waiting room. This area houses the duty free shops, kiosks, a restaurant and several banks.
Beauvais airport departures are closed from 11.35 PM and you need to be at the airport on time rest you will be diverted to other airports. If you can’t present your flight ticket upon departure for any reason, you will be required to pay a lump sum for the same. The airport is relatively busy but queues at check in desk are not as bad as such. However, travelers can wait for much longer during high season especially summer. Security regulations are not very tight as such but is advisable that you reach the airport at least 2 hrs before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
At Terminal 2, you will find automated check in machines at check in lobby which make the process much faster. Beauvais airport departures majorly serve budget travelers and there is no VIP lounge as such. The public area has good passenger amenities and the departures lounge nowadays appears to be well maintained. If you require medical assistance, you can communicate to the staff and you will be advised accordingly. You can get some snacks and drinks at the public area as you wait for your departure flight. The airport has disabled facilities to serve passengers with reduce mobility and other special needs.
